Vintage Black Nubby Silk Chinese Long Jacket - This is a very traditional garment from Japan sewn in a Chinese style. It's made of cloud soft, but substantial natural silk. It's vintage from the 1950s. Pictures really don't do this beautiful garment justice - it is so much nicer in person! This is a garment with the whimsical name Fuku. It features a simple, graceful light A-line shape, mandarin collar, traditional frog knot fastenings, beautifully designed scoop pockets, three-quarter length sleeves from dropped shoulders, slits on each side for ease of movement, and dropped shaping bust darts. Really, though, the shaping on this garment is so subtle, and the darts tailored so classically, that this could be worn by a man or woman. If you've ever seen those old film noir movies where the detective suddenly stumbles into a Chinese laundry on a chase, surprising the workers toiling in clouds of steam, or a movie featuring voyagers to Old China, you will have seen a garment very like this. This is one of my nicest old Asian pieces, and it's in really great shape, very little wear; it does have a little storage scent which will dissipate. 43" bust, 46" hip, 44" long. Long Black Designer Wool and Cashmere Coat - This coat has been gently worn. It has no fading, and there is plenty of life left in it. It has just become a bit too small for me to wear now. There is one tiny flaw, and this does not take away from the wearing of this coat. I spilled some candle wax on the bottom of the coat (see larger photos). With time and effort, you could rub the wax off. When the coat is buttoned, you can not see the wax because it is on the side of the coat that is tucked underneath, when buttoned. The coat is tagged as a size 8 petite. It will fit up to a 40" bust. The length is 41" long. The sleeves measure approx. 21" long. The coat is supposed to be dry clean only, however, I did wash it a couple times in the washer. Fiber content is 60% wool, 25% cashmere, 15% nylon. The lining is 100% acetate. Dark Olive Green Cloak – This is an original, hand-made, unlined, dark olive-green cloak with a hood. It measures 72" around the bottom hem, and 57.5" from shoulder to bottom hem. The hood is 26.5" around at the seam at the shoulder, and is about 14.5" from top of hood straight down. There is ample room in the hood for larger heads. The stitching was done in a darker olive green, but it works well with the fabric. There are two holes punched through the fabric with metal grommets to help keep the cloak closed, and there's currently a piece of brown leather through them. The fabric is soft, and has a slight shine or sheen to it. I would have it dry-cleaned if at all possible. This cloak has been worn a couple of times, by a 6' man, and by a 5' 4" woman, and worked well with each. The cloak has been cleaned. I bought the fabric and made it myself, but I have no use for it. Black Monster Fur Coat - This is a super fluffy and warm black monster fur coat. Unfortunately, it doesn't get cold enough in Florida for me to get any use out of it! It can close in the front with two big buttons and goes to about mid-to-low thigh, depending on your height. There is no tag, but I would say it could fit a size medium and up.
